Western Metropolitan Anaesthetic Services (WMAS) is the first private anaesthetist group established to service the western region of Melbourne, as well as the broader city.
Our surgical disciplines
Our anaesthetists are trained in providing expert anaesthesia for a range of surgical disciplines including:
- general
- neurosurgery
- obstetrics and gynaecology
- ophthalmology
- paediatric
- ear, nose and throat (ENT)
- orthopaedic
- urology
- dental
- maxillo-facial
- vascular and plastic surgeries, and
- endoscopic procedures.
Our training
All of our anaesthetists are trained through the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. They are accredited to work at many private hospitals and all hold positions at major public hospitals.
Our members are also published researchers and presenters furthering the field of anaesthesia in Australia.
